Cowal is a quiet and luscious part of Argyll in the Scottish Highlands made up of forestry, mountains and some stunning coastline.
Cowal stretches from the east shore of Loch Fyne and across above Bute to meet up the area by Loch Lomond. Cowal contains the Argyll Forest Park and the large town of Dunoon. You can drive around the A83 and then drive towards Dunoon to enter Cowal, or alternatively the ferry from Gourock goes directly to the Cowal peninsula.
Cowal is home to the annual Cowal Games and also features a walk called the Cowal Way.
